Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru was born on 14th November, 1889 in the Alahabad province of Uttar Pardesh state. He father’s name was Motilal Nehru who was a prominent lawyer of the country at that time and was also a freedom fighter. His mother name was Smt. Swaroop Rani. Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru played a vital role in the movement of independence and became the first prime minister of independent India. He hold the office of PMO till 27th May, 1964 till his death because of heart attack. He got married to Smt. Kamala Nehru in 1916 and got a daughter named Indira Gandhi who also became the prime minister of India after the death of his father.
Indira Gandhi Family Tree:
Indira Gandhi was born on 19th November, 1917 and she was the daughter of first prime minister of India. He is the only female prime minister of Indian till date. After the death of 2nd prime minister of India Sh. Lal Bahadur Shastri, she became the third prime minister of India from January, 1966 to March, 1977. She imposed state of emergency from 1975 to 1977. She again hold the chair of PM in 1984 and remained the prime minister of the country until her death on 31st October, 1984. She got married to Feroze Gandhi in 1942 and she was blessed by two sons namely Rajeev Gandhi and Sanjay Gandhi.
Rajeev Gandhi Family Tree:
Rajeev Gandhi was born on 20 August, 1944 at Bombay of british ruled India. He was the son of Smt. Indira Gandhi and Feroze Gandhi and became the 6th prime minister of independent India. He hold the chair of PM of India in 1984 and remained the prime minister of India till 1989 when he got assassinated in Tamil Nadu. Firstly he chose to be a pilot as his profession, but became the prime minister of the country later on. He got married to Smt. Sonia Gandhi and got his two children from this marriage namely Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi.
