- Then she also appointed as chairperson of Rairanpur Nagar Panchayat in year 2000.
- She worked hard to enhance the level of Scheduled tribe community and she also became the vice president of BJP Scheduled Tribe Morcha at national level.
- In her state politics career, she held various ministries in Odisha state including the portfolio of Commerce and Transport minister during BJP and Biju Janta Dal govt from 2000 to 2002 and portfolio of Fisheries and Animal Resources Development dept from 2002 to 2004.
- She was sworn and ninth Governor of Jharkand from 18th May, 2015 to 12th July, 2021.
