King Shantanu also got married to Satyavati and got two sons namely Chitrangda & Vichitravirya. Vyasa was the son who got from a maid.
Later on, with the help of Niyoga with Vyasa, Ambika got Dhritarashtra as son and Ambalika got Pandu as son. Descendants of Dhritarashtra were popularly known as Kaurava and descendants of Pandu were popularly known as Pandavas. Later on, battle of Mahabharata occurred between Kauravas and Pandavas at Kurukshetra. Kauravas Family Tree:
Descendants of Hastinapur king Dhritrashtra were popularly known as Kauravas. Dhritrashtra was blind and got married to Gandhari. Gandhari gave birth to 100 Kauravas including ninety nine sons and one daughter. Dhritrashtra also got one son Yuyutsu from Vaishya. Kauravas were lead by Duryodhana and Dushasana. Dussala was sister of ninety nine Kauravas. She was married to Jayadrath. All the Kauravas got defeated in battle of Kurukshetra and got killed by Pandavas.
